When Delaget made major changes to their software and updated their brand voice, their trade show presence became obsolete. My mission was to create a fresh trade show presence that showcased the new, modernized UI.
Designing the new booth was an exercise in balancing the logistical requirements of transportation and assembly, the cost (we didn’t have a big budget), and my vision of how this would fit in and draw attention in trade show halls in our industry. I researched and priced out options, created designs, and worked with vendors to produce a new double-sided backdrop and two counters that could be arranged in multiple ways. I also trained sales people in how to transport and assemble them, and best practices for how to set up the booth and collateral to show Delaget in our best light.
Choosing a double-sided backdrop gave us more bang for our buck. The other side featured a second software product and allowed us to choose which side to display based on the audience of each show.
I also designed a cobranded trade show booth for a one-off show for a Nagios reseller in Asia who was going to be focusing on selling our software. The reseller partner handled production in Asia; my role was to conceptualize and design something to fit this existing booth layout. I created the design and put it into this mockup as well as the printer’s template.
I used the blue background and nodes graphics from the Nagios brand as the main elements of the design. From the partner’s brand, I incorporated their orange in the gradient and included the four-color stripe from their logo in the backdrop and counter.
